This is a 1949 vintage sewing pattern Butterick 5103 for a waist length bed jacket. The pattern has options for a convertible collar and two frog closure or shoestring ties at a collarless neck. Bed jackets can also be made with fabrics appropriate to wear as regular jackets! The jacket made with the tie at the neck could be a very pretty evening jacket!
